WHEN I'M THINKING OF YOU...

When we live a life in which we value growth, the day to day blunders are not to be taken as statements of our own value but areas which can be attended to. They are lessons in our own humanity. We learn from them by examining them. If we are constantly in need of proving our own worth, they stand as evidence, to us, of our own unworthiness. Be done with this silly court of personal worth. We are who we are! There is millions of unhealthy ways to judge our own personal worth. Accept who you are. Begin each new day with curiosity and creativity, letting go of the self-punishments for falling short of perfection the day before. We can acknowledge behavior that is hurtful to others or destructive to ourselves without using it to evaluate our own worth. Make corrections where necessary and move on.

Often in our quest to well-being, we try so hard to bury any thing negative sprouting from within that we become farther and farther from the goal of self-understanding. Become comfortable with who you are, and what you feel and the present becomes perfectly fine just the way it is.
